What I Like About Food

Every meal counts
Baked Expectations
161 Osborne St
party of 2
arrived 7:40pm, Saturday in January
What happens when you mix a liquor license with desserts, food, and a fantastic location? You get a lot of customers.
Fun decor, diner-ish atmosphere, hipster staff wearing identical silk screened t-shirts…ahhh, osborne village.
I have never, nor have I ever heard of, someone having a bad experience with their dessert here — and the foods not bad either. More annoying past experiences have included a tween couple that was incapable of separating their bodies for the duration of their meal (simultaneously annoying and fascinating…you should try eating an entire meal with your arm around the shoulders of your boyfriend).
The desserts are a bit price-y, but they’re excellent and sometimes you just get what you pay for. (Dessert Sinsations is close by and feels more “grown-up”, but I think their pricing is a bit higher).
Really good spot for catching up with a friend.
